Course description:

This one day workshop is ideally suited for operators of small and rural water distribution systems, and will be of benefit whether they are experienced or new in the field. 

The goal is to refresh operators as to established best practices for running a utility, referencing the latest AWWA standards from water main repairs to

backflow prevention and unidirectional flushing, to assess where critical gaps may exist and to determine practical steps operators can take to address them

Course Description: 

This one day course is designed to provide operators and supervisors of water and wastewater utilities a deeper understanding of the challenges on the horizon due to climate change. To recognize the risks and determine strategies in planning for the near, mid and long term. The focus for the 2024 CWSA annual program will be on drought prevention and management, through case studies and  by showcasing resources to assist utilities staff in planning and implementation.
